A statement from the Environment Agency22 January 2021

Our area enforcement team have been investigating reports of waste being illegally burnt at sites in the Christchurch area. We believe waste is being brought onto these sites by businesses/tradesman and waste carriers, and set fire to as a means of disposal. If you see any of these activities happening in your area please contact the phone numbers below.

Highcliffe Recreation Ground
Notice has been given by BCP council that they intend to pass the ownership of the following to Highcliffe and Walkford Parish Council:

  1. The Highcliffe Recreation Ground and play area.
  2. Bluebell Close Play area,
  3. Mudeford Wood Play area.

The land will continue to be kept purely for recreational purposes, but will allow the Parish Council to make further improvements for the benefit of our local community. The Parish Council already have responsibility for Nea Meadow and the Wingfield sport field and pavilion.
