Residents should be aware that BCP have launched the first stage of public consultation in the preparation of their Local Plan (not to be confused with the Highcliffe and Walkford Local Plan which has been prepared by the Parish Council).
It is imperative that everyone participates in this process, and a link to it is given below. The closing date for submission of comments has been moved from 7 March 2022 to 25 March 2022.
The documents provided by BCP are extensive, and there are many areas which are offered for your inspection and comment. Ideally, you should access them using a desk top computer, but hard copies will be made available either through the public library, or you can print them off from the website.
There will be a meeting on Monday 14 February 2022 at Druitt Hall in Christchurch, commencing at 7pm, which has been organised by Christchurch Citizens Association. This will be attended by Councillor Margaret Phipps, who has kindly offered to introduce the process to residents, and to answer any questions about it from the floor. Hard copies of the information and questionnaires will be available at the meeting.
HRA cannot emphasise enough the necessity for everyone to engage with this consultation - it is of vital importance for the future of our area. Please do take the opportunity to have your voice heard!
