Beach Clean report July 201915 July 2019

Sunday 14 July

Thank you to everyone who came down to join us and a big welcome to our new volunteers.

We had 40 people on the beach and there were 25 bags of rubbish collected. Unfortunately I forgot my scales so I couldn't weigh them like I usually do but the guys "guestimated" around 22kg!

Thank you also to Cllr. Paul Hilliard for handing out parking tickets, your help is very much appreciated.

Don't forget - those of you who have social media accounts - you can find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as HighcliffeBCT. The accounts are usually only active around the couple of weeks leading up to events - the same as emails - so you won't get inundated with updates!

If anyone is interested in more beach cleaning news in between times, you can find me on my own social media pages as Seashorty - I'm often around on the local beaches picking up litter, come and say hi if you spot me, or come and join me!

The next beach clean date is Sunday 6th October

I'm sure the beach will need our help after the summer season so I hope you can join us then.

Many thanks and best wishes

Amelia Raine - Highcliffe Beach Clean Group Leader
