Flag, toppers and trains!30 May 2022
The last week has seen more indication of the amazing place we live in here in Highcliffe. Down at the beach the coveted Blue Flag is flying! Together with Avon and Friars Cliff beaches, we are one in 80 recipients of this award in the UK which recognises high quality management and environmental education programmes. Thanks have to go to all the local people, both individuals and groups who do so much work to keep our beach litter free.
Much excitement and activity down at The Old School last week as the Chewton Common Playgroup enjoyed their Train Day in the Large Hall. It was so good to see so much fun being had by children, parents and staff in our now very splendidly renovated Hall!
Somewhere in our community we have a very talented person or persons who have made the fantastic pillar box toppers in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. They make a wonderful addition to the growing street decorations.
