UPDATE 20 JANUARY 2019:

Thank you so much to those of you who came down to the beach clean this morning and welcome to the new members - there are lots of you!

There were at least 105 people on the beach this morning - we may not have counted everyone in groups!

I can't tell you how many bags were collected in total as we consolidated them in to as few as possible to leave behind.

We collected 16 full bags of rubbish, totalling 70.45kg in weight.

It was fantastic to see so many people out and to hear how much people enjoyed their time on the beach, it was lovely to meet you all.

A big thank you to my team who probably weren't expecting to be kept quite so busy, I couldn't have done it without them!

Thank you also to Christchurch and East Dorset District Council and to Litter Free Coast and Sea for their support in getting the group up and running again.

I will get the next dates out to you as soon as I can.

For those of you on social media, don't forget you can find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as HighcliffeBCT
