Several residents have contacted HRA because they are very concerned to see the impact already being made to the land for the proposed development at Jesmond Avenue. This area of attractive woodland appears already to have been systematically degraded, mature trees have been removed and heavy machinery has been active on the site further damaging the natural habitat for wildlife. We have made enquiries, and we understand that the Arboricultural Tree Officer and the Enforcement Officer are aware of the situation.
Many other residents have expressed more general concerns about the nature of the proposed development and its impact on wildlife and the designated 'green corridor' in the Christchurch and East Dorset Proposals Map. HRA Officers encourage all residents who feel concerned to lodge their objections or other comments on this Planning Application. This is quite urgent, as the consultation period closes on 27 February.
