Press release: Highcliffe ARG4 Funding 202223 March 2022

Highcliffe Food Festival

Cllr Nigel Brooks:

"As your Ward Councillor I have been leading at BCP Council, together with Officers, a project to support District Centres across the conurbation.

I am pleased to announce that as part of the Council's support post the pandemic restrictions, Highcliffe has been awarded £34,000 from the government's Additional Recovery Grant 4 (ARG4) scheme with similar sums going to two other pilot Centres in Broadstone (Poole) and Kinson (Bournemouth).

This revenue sum will be divided between the following events and initiatives happening in 2022 in Highcliffe to help support the village's vitality and attractiveness

  • Highcliffe Food & Arts Festival
  • NEW A music festival event in September (more news later!)
  • An updated '10-mile map' giving details of the businesses and attractions
  • Highcliffe branded merchandise which has been extremely popular with residents and visitors alike
  • Highcliffe in Bloom - who work extremely hard to make the area attractive, both in the High Street and elsewhere
  • Support to both the Highcliffe Residents Association and the Chamber of Trade & Commerce

I am delighted that Highcliffe can look forward to an exciting 2022 with not only the return of the Food Festival after a two-year break, but with all the other events and initiatives I have outlined".
