Christchurch Borough Council is carrying out a review to see if any new or changed Parish Councils should be created. Responding to the initial consultation paper, our Executive Committee suggested that a Parish Council for Highcliffe and Walkford would enable residents to have more say about keeping the area clean and tidy, planning issues, and how money is spent in the village. Our suggestion is included in the recommendations of the latest consultation document. This can be requested from CBC or viewed at www.dorsetforyou.gov.uk/christchurch-community-governance-review. This topic was discussed at our quarterly meeting in June, and we will respond before the deadline of 20 July. Do read the consultation document and let us know your views - or you can send them directly to Electoral Services, CBC Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Christchurch BH23 1AZ.
